Looking for fics that "pull it off*": that take a cliche or trope or trainwreck idea and really make it believable. Can be slash, friendship, or even House or Wilson by himself.

Two examples are Illusions to Live By by willywonka3435 (Wilson has an eating disorder) and The Same People Somewhere Else by lz1982 (summer camp AU).

How about a story where a guy who isn't too dumb finds out his dad had an extra marital affair, and he goes visiting his half-bro? That bro of course would be House.

Or it could be from House's POV. Or Wilson's? I just like the idea of House and a half-sibling meeting, seeing as it's not too far-fetched that he has them.

(They probably would have met before, seeing as House thinks that his biological father is a "family friend".)
