I know it wasn't originally rec'd to me, so I'm popping up out of nowhere, but good lord your friend has talent! That was the best story I've read in quite some time.

I understand her uneasiness, though...I'm usually really shy about my stories when I'm first getting into communities, and it took me years to get brave enough to start posting stuff. I still don't let any of my RL friends (or, God forbid, family members) read my stff, either. Except my crazy cousin who's just as slash!fandom crazy as I am. XDD
