Helloooo. I'm looking for fics featuring anti-Semitism - discrimination against Jews. I've read a couple, and it kind of shocked the small bit of innocence in me that just doesn't understand prejudice. And applied to Wilson...I just think it would be interesting to see how he handled it, or where he would experience it, or if it would come up in his practice, etc. And of course, it'd be interesting to add House into the mix too ^^ So, friendship, pre-slash, slash, any rating...just wanted to see what's out there. Thanks!

I've rec'ed it a few times, and each time I have to reread it. Going insane wondering if the author will write more.

Wanna know something really strange? I clicked onto hw_reqs just now as a means of resting my brain while attempting to write part two of this fic. Imagine my surprise when I read this post!

Anyway, I'm determined to finish the thing, but let me tell you, it might just kill me before I get the chance. I have no idea why, but my muse just doesn't want to let me get it written. I'm attempting to beat it into submission- I've been slowly adding on, a few lines a day or so. I feel so guilty about not having updated in months, so I'm really, really hoping I'll have a breakthrough soon.

Hehe, it's totally fine. I need some poking once in a while, and I was giving myself too many breaks anyway. Before I started playing on livejournal, I was distracting myself by watching Torchwood. Seems as if my senioritus applied to both school and fanfiction.

Well, there are worse ways to distract yourself than Torchwood :D

This is probably true- that damn John Barrowman. It's not really fair to the rest of us petty mortals that he's that damn hot and that damn talented at pretty much... everything ever. Not to mention that a mere glance at Ianto makes me want to punch through the screen and hug the life out of him. Or watch Jack hug the life out of him. Heh.

So, monthly poking sounds pretty good. Because as you can see, I am easily distracted. Lol and I love how off topic this thread has become between the two of us.

Friend showed me the series while I was visiting and I became hooked. Feels like going through withdrawal since I saw them all within a 24 hour period.

And I am easily distracted as well...supposed to be in bed over a half hour ago lol.

So (back to semi-on-topicness) yes, monthly pokings, may there be few of them (and no, not few because of forgetting).

maddoggirl. It's a very powerful, well-written fic, and the anti-semitism is intense.
I'm Jewish, by the by, and this fic is spot-on in its descriptions of everything it addresses that has to do with Judaism.
Definitely worth the read ^_^
