  I've been gone for the past few months, so I'm hoping that you guys can help me catch up on what I've missed. I'm looking for decent-sized (but not Epic) fics that came out sometime during the last four or so months. I'd prefer to read stories with good plot, humor, and limited leg-pain angst. H/W would be preferable of course, but I would also like to read any outstanding pure-friendship stories that you can think of. Thanks!

Thanks! I've actually read some of her stories (or, rather, listened to the podfics) before. Her work is wonderful, and she's got remarkable Jeeves and Wooster podfics. Do you know the series? There's tons of subtext to keep the average slasher happy.

AND it´s got Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry in it; which keeps me as an average admirer of their work happy!
I love the series and it even got me buying the original Wodehouse books. Triedunture´s whack at the Wodehouse style is astonishingly close to the original - only her plots are tighter and there´s more manlove... *g*

I know. I'm such a fan of those two - I've also watched "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" and "Blackadder" (the forth season). Those two work so well together!

I'm actually reading one of the Jeeves books right now. The writing style is just so wonderful! And you're right, Triedenture pulls it all off very well. Jeeves and the Editorial Distress is my favorite of her works. I love fanfics where the author includes some sort of mention of the books that Bertie writes.

Ah, and if you haven't already read them (they're classics, so you probably have, but I'll just go ahead and check anyway), I recommend skyblue_reverie's J&W fanfics. Link follows:

I didn´t know the stories, so thank you so much!
I´m not really in the fandom because I have this horror vision of stumbling across something hardcore-ish... I simply don´t want this with that pairing. I don´t want to loose this oddly chaste touch J&W have for me.

Ah. Well, in that case... This might not quite be best for you. She's one of the few NC-17 writers in this fandom (most actually stick to the tame end of the slashy spectrum). Still... Her fanfic "Jeeves and the Christmas Cottage" is extremely sweet. It does have a high rating, but it also has a lot of non-physical, emotional intimacy. Her characterization is superb, of course. It's in the same universe as a lot of her other fics, but is basically a stand-alone story, and you don't need to have read the others to enjoy and understand it. It will also give you a good taste of her writing.
