Quick Question...

I'm pretty sure that this is kosher, so I'm gonna go ahead and ask; does anyone know what happened to the <lj user=housewilsonlol> community? It seems to have been deleted, but I have no idea why. If anybody knows whether it's coming back, or if there's a new one in its stead I'd be really grateful to hear about it. Please and thank you.

I've been wondering the same thing. So far all I know is that the girl who ran it deleted her lj too, so things aren't looking good. :(

Yeah man, that's exactly what happened to me, go off line for a couple of days come back, and one of the best H/W comms is deleted.

I hope it comes back too, there'll be an awfully big spot on fandom without it.

Okay, cool. It was jane_hidell's right? Is she really back up with hers because if it's cool with her, and she's willing to pass it over, I could just keep it the same instead of having to start over, but I don't know her too well...

It was Jane's. Her journal is back up, but HouseWilsonLOL isn't. She might be cool with passing it onto you (but of course I can't speak for her so. . .).

I think she's on vacation right now, but you could email her and wait for her reply (I don't know how long she's going to be on vacation for though).

Thanks. I figure it's worth asking her. From what I can tell it's only been a few days since it was deleted and there's 30 days to re-instate so hopefully she's not on vacation for a month and she says yes. :D

Maybe it's just me, but why would anyone be okay with just 'passing on' their comm's to be 'taken over' by someone else? I wouldn't be. If I had a comm that I put heaps of time and effort in and for whatever reason I deleted it, it would stay deleted for ever and ever until I myself decided to undelete. I wouldn't give it away.

But hey, again, that's just me.

To be fair, I've seen several comms leadership be passed on. Especially in the lost fandom. I can understand someone wanting to pass on their community, especially if they worked hard on it and want to see it continue to flourish without, maybe, having the time to take care of it themselves.

Am I saying that the person in question should do so? Not necessarily, of course, not if she doesn't want to, but I think it's a general agreement that we'd like to see form of housewilsonlol resurface.
