Close/Protective House and Wilson

Hey

1. I'm looking for a specific fic based near the end of season 5 when Cuddy tells House that Wilson was found by the police trying to find his way home after the bachelor party, but it turns out Wilson wasn't looking for his home he was looking for his House.

2. Secondly, I'm looking for any fics that show how really close they are despite all their fighting.

Hmmmm, I think I've read the first one, but no idea where to start looking for it, sorry. Maybe someone else will remember. For the second one, I'd actually give a blanket rec for blackmare_9, because almost every fic of hers shows why they are friends in the first place and how close they actually are. And just because I reread it recently, Safety Lights (http://ariadnes-string.livejournal.com/34924.html) by ariadnes_string works as well and might not be as widely known.

I'll blanket-rec mer_duff for that second request, and ... really, I'd say a lot of writers in this fandom fit that bill. Flywoman, Pwcorgigirl, oh my, I'm going to forget people I shouldn't forget. Deelaundry! I have a rotten memory. I'm liking a lot of Jezziejay's stuff, and oh heavens I can't remember who wrote what, anymore.

Possible solution: on my journal, I have a memories list full of House fics, and since my tastes run firmly in the "show how really close they are" direction, you might have some fun going through my mems! Some of the stuff in there is pretty dark, though, so if you're sensitive to violence, in particular, do check the headers before diving in.

I'm happy to see new-to-me names in this fandom. :-) You might check topaz_eyes -- she used to write House fic and it was very good stuff. Bironic has similarly been inactive a while but her things are lovely. Joe_pike_junior. My friend and collaborator, nightdog_barks (her fic index is at nightdog_writes). Look for Damascus, for starters.

Perspi, on the main page of her journal, has a lengthy story called No Little Charity that is amazing and should scratch your itch.

In other news, I know I read that story about Wilson trying to find his way to his real home, his House, and yet I cannot for the life of me remember the title or who wrote it. And I really liked it. So if anyone does come up with it, that'll be two of us who are happy.
