EDIT: Six out of eight so far, excellent! Thanks for your time, all! ...Just two more left... *wink* I just finished sifting through my 500+ bookmarks, and found I never snagged some stories that I NEED TO SURVIVE. I came on board right after The Greater Good, I think, and there's so much stuff in this fandom that I don't think I waded back too far... Anyway, I spend most of my time in house_wilson, but I peeked in the beginning in some other comms... Help me!
I just realized I'm saying on/not on LJ a lot. What I mean is, it's linked on LJ, probably in house_wilson, but the link goes off-site. So, if I say "on LJ," I mean it's in somebody's journal or posted directly in a community. Clear, or foggier? ^_^
These first three are MUST-HAVES.
The Last Resort 1. Wilson got unstoppable hiccups, as in days' worth. Everyone tried ways to fix him - Cuddy flashed him, Foreman (House wanted him to dress as a woman, but he didn't) sneaked up on him when he was asleep, and Wilson almost killed him... House fixed the hiccups in the end. Guess how. *wink wink nudge nudge* Longish, not sure if it was on LJ, but I thought it was linked here, somewhere. The Body Found 2. Very long, many chapters, I think also posted on fanfiction.net, but definitely here on LJ. Wilson was kidnapped for months; in the first chapter, everyone else gave up on searching for him, but House never did. Wilson was locked in a basement? with no human contact. He tried to keep himself sane by reciting things, which boiled down to House's phone number. He got sick, and one of his "caretakers" felt sorry for him and called House. After a stint in the hospital, Wilson moved in with House. He freaked out periodically and hid in corners for hours. Anyway, they started a romance, but House decided it should end when Wilson was ready to go back to work. When Wilson told Cuddy about their relationship, she was shocked that House would start something like that, but Wilson said that "he finished things, I started things." Of course, it all worked out in the end. Decameron 3. Pretty short, on LJ. Cameron-centric. I think House gave her a bloodstone that made her invisible or something like that. She followed him around, but soon found out he was obviously with Wilson. Because *duh*. I remember House was trying to get used to not having a cane. Cameron watched him walk up to greet Wilson and, in the absence of poking, touch his elbow, and Wilson ran a hand down House's back and stayed a little too long at his waist. Unless I'm mixing fics. Eventually she caught them doing things in somebody's office... I think. This may actually have been called something like "Bloodstone," I don't know. These following five are not as critical, but they'd still be nice to find.
4. YouTube Wilson/Amber video. I might have searched for Wilson's Heart or something, but I couldn't recreate it. The song was all about buses, that's the important part. I've found some nice, heartbreaking ones, but no bus songs. I think it was a man singing - 50% chance of that being right!
Human After All 5. Mid-length, pretty sure on LJ. Not slash, I believe (unless your goggles are surgically attached like mine are). House came to work with sunglasses on, and Wilson thought he might be hiding yellow eyes. He pretty much fell on House and yanked them off - House had been crying. Wilson later went to his apartment (I think with a box of tissues) and found House's rat was dead. So, Wilson bought House another (baby?) rat. Something like "I was going to name him James Dean, but you already have a Jimmy in your life, so here's Paul Newman." I Should Have Known 6. Amber physically abused Wilson - he explained it along the lines of: she gets mad, and sometimes I'm standing in the wrong place... We're talking like broken bones and anemia. House rescued him and kept him safe for a while. In the end, Wilson tried to go back to work with Thirteen as a bodyguard because of convoluted House-logic, and Amber burst in and beat them both up. So she went to jail and House got Wilson. I thought alanwolfmoon wrote this, but I couldn't find it. Posted after August. 7. Slash, short, I'm going to say before June. This one may have been posted directly into an LJ comm. House just got out of the shower, and was checking himself out in the mirror, with a negative slant. One of his complaints was thin lips, if I remember correctly. He was glad he was wearing a towel around his waist, 'cause scars were a whole other thing. This might not be in this fic, but I think he was thinking about Wilson being loved by "a woman half his age." Anyway, he decided to break up right then and there, marched into the bedroom... and Wilson smiled and pulled off the towel and there went that plan.
Color-drabbles 8. Last one! Another slash, short. House musing to himself about how he used to think that brown eyes and hair were boring, and dimples were too childish. Until he met Wilson. =) Somebody please find at least the first three!
