Hey - I'm looking for a certain fic and I'm wondering if anyone can help me out:


In this particular fic - and it was fairly long if my memory serves - House and Wilson were in an established relationship, but were having some issues (it may or may not have had something to do with House's attitude, drug addiction, reckless behavior, etc.). House plans a romantic getaway for the two of them - possibly as a an early anniversary gift or it may have been during a medical conference - and the two of them end up sharing a room in a swanky hotel (it may have been during this story that House, Wilson, and Cuddy are down in the lobby checking in when the person working the front desk corrects Cuddy when she says they booked three rooms and says that the doctors only booked two. House immediately says that he'll bunk with Wilson and belive Cuddy gives him some kind of weird look.). Anyway, the part that stands out most vividly in my mind is towards the end - House has Wilson all to himself and he has the room set up perfectly; A roaring fire in the fireplace, all the pillows in the room piled on the floor before the hearth, and bottle of lube tucked away within reach. House lays Wilson down and starts giving him a massage (I'm pretty sure) and it quickly turns into sex. House was on top and was about to put on a condom when Wilson asks him not to. House is hesitant, but complies, and the way that section was written, it's likely that at the moment when House ...... finishes in Wilson, it's the most intimate and in love he's ever been with anyone.


I was deeply moved by this story, and I'm heartbroken that I haven't been able to find it. I'm still checking Fanfiction.net, but if anyone has any information about this story (like if I have any of the details wrong or if they know where I can find it), then please let me know.

I know which fic you're talking about, but I don't have it saved anymore, and I can't remember the title or author.

I can help give a little more info though, cause I think you might have some things mixed up.

Wilson is going to a conference, and Cuddy makes House go with him in an attempt to get them to work things out. She doesn't go, House is going in her place. There is a mix up with the rooms (should be 2, but only 1). To be romantic, House orders them lobster dinners.

I hope this helps in finding it. Sorry I don't have it to give you.

It wouldn't happen to be the fic with the long rimming scene, would it? It's been ages since I read As You Aren't (http://topaz-eyes.livejournal.com/59492.html) but I remember that the sex scene takes place in a hotel room, there's a fireplace, and Wilson says "No condom" when House wants to put one on.
