Anyone want to help me out a bit? I have this totally tentative first fic that I'm working on (going to be stupidly short and probably fairly pointless) shouldn't take anyone more than a couple of minutes to read and dismiss (as garbage). Is anyone interested in humouring me?

It's just one of those 'first time' probably terribly OFC... hey what can I say, I have no idea what I'm doing. It's like handing a monkey a (broken) typewriter and expecting, well, words instead of ink stains.

Apparently I'm terrible at self-promotion. But that's okay isn't it?

I'm in need of a beta for a rough draft of mine (and I mean, REALLY rough draft...srs bsns here). I wrote it a while ago for a prompt that's due in a week (!) and I can't seem to wrap my mind around revising it. Too many things aren't clicking, aren't making sense...so if someone could help me rework it a bit (nothing major, just tweaking it so it's a bit more in character and whatnot), it would be awesome and greatly appreciated. I only have til next Tuesday >.>

The fic's H/W, along the lines of NC-17, but it's more...not so much smut as...smut being described...if you know what I mean.

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve used this comm, but I’m pretty sure this is kosher and if not Mods please feel free to delete this.

As of late I have been writing an extremely large and time consuming AU, and it doesn’t really seem to have an end in sight. I was wondering if any of you kind people out there could Beta for me. Hello. I've been working on a small fic for months, I kept it all rather under my hat as I am not known for finishing fic well...ever! But I'm happy to say that at last I have it up to second-draft standard.

It's a little over 7000 words and is a vaguely crack-y (but not overly so) crossover with My Best Friend's A Vampire or, at least, it absorbs the events in that film as part of WIlson's canon. I actually got into House because I saw that film, believe it or not!

It's not slash (though if I ever write sequels I might lean towards it) but it's mostly House-Wilson interaction, hence why I'm asking on here. I'd really love a beta reader looking, chiefly, at my use of Americanisms (though having someone going over my grammar and spelling is always helpful, of course) as I'm from the UK and know all too well of the cultural-language differences. Anyway I could really use someone who'd be willing to go over it and make sure none of the characters say anything embarrasingly British (and, ergo, OOC). Also, at present, it doesn't have a title so suggestions on that side would also be appreciated.

1 -- I'd like a beta in general. Just someone I can send all sorts of fics to at any time (I'm not particularly impatient, though, so if you have a slower turnaround time than most, that's fine).
2 -- Grammar runs really isn't what I need -- yeah, it's helpful to have someone triple-check me, but I taught ESL, I'm a WTP submissions mod, and I MST, so I catch most of my mistakes without any difficulty. What I *really* need is someone who keeps my story focused and tight, because on my own, I'd be perfectly capable of adding all sorts of useless stuff. Basically, if the story sucks, I wanna know.
3 -- Be as mean as you want, I'm not thin-skinned.
4 -- The more detailed you are, the happier I am. I love detailed comments; it helps me know what's good and what's bad.

Wow. I know that's a lot to ask, but even if you can't do all of that, any help would be great. Especially the whole sounding board thing. Basically, that's me with a bunch of ideas going... "Does this WORK?"

Right. A general description of what I write: 99% of it is House/Wilson (occasionally, something else totally out of left field comes. If it's not House/Wilson, I'll tell you the pairing beforehand). Usually it is humorous (at least, I like to think so) and plausibly cute (I do not have House whispering tender nothings in Wilson's ear, I do have him occasionally doing the dishes). I have a lot of shorter fics and a lot of longerfics I'm working on. I prefer to send fics over while I'm working on them to see if they work and to get an idea which direction the fic should go.

So I've started writting a somewhat epic apocalypse type fic. I have most of the story mapped out and I know where I want to go, I just need some help getting there. Anyone interested in maybe co-authoring this beast with me? I have about 7000 words typed up (I've been writing on actual paper!) and 10000 words written total and haven't even gotten to the good stuff. It's a H/W friendship-possibly more if I can make up my mind fic set during an Influenza pandemic. I'm writing a first-time-House-met-Wilson kind of fic, although it's slightly AU. It's a plot-bunny I adopted from

lostwiginity, who wrote: "For a long time now I had this idea in my head of Wilson knowing House via Wilson's father, who's a professor at wherever House went to study medicine. And when House gets kicked out of the dorm (because, well, he's House), he stays over at the Wilsons' home on the couch, because Wilson senior actually likes that young cheeky bastard student of his."

Now, the fic takes place during 1981, and since it follows the teenage-novel format (hopefully without all the trite cliches) the atmopshere is very important. The problem is that I wasn't even a twinkle in my parents eyes during '81. Are there anyone out there that was a teenager during the early eightes and think that they could help me beta/alpha that part of the fic? It would also be lovely and awesome if someone could help me with the Jewish aspect too.

As far as fic-warnings go, the story includes precocious!jailbait!Wilson, college!House, a possibly one-sided crush and a rating that is between PG-13 and R. If you're fine with that, and feel that you would like to beta, please send an e-mail to youngfreak92@hotmail.com.

Hey folks!

About a million years ago, I posted here asking for help with a little House/Wilson porn scene. I got a lot of very nice, very helpful replies and the porn was much improved... I think. So, thanks for that :) Well, that story has grown monstrous and pretty much eaten my brain, but it's mostly done. So now I'm looking for a beta (or betas) to beat it into submission. Unfortunately, I killed all my old e-mail addresses, and with it, the names of the very sweet people who offered to beta for me earlier.

Would anyone mind taking a look at this thing? The relevant info: It's around 8,000 words, NC-17, mostly H/W, but also H/Cuddy, with hints of H/W/C; a little on the cracky side, with mild House angst. Takes place in season 4, but there are no real spoilers beyond the new characters.

It needs a fairly thorough beta - there are some plot issues, probably some characterization issues, etc. You can be as harsh as you like - I can take it ;)

Hello, I am currently writing and I am seeking medical beta. The story itself is nearly finished and the prose is coming along. I am, however, missing that all important aspect of the details of the story's patient of the week.

If you have medical knowledge in the areas of how depression and stress do and do not affect certain diseases, that would be peachy. The more opinions, anecdotes, ideas and such the better, especially as I am hitting an odd wall in the scientific aspects of my writing.

I will also shortly require a beta, mainly for catching any words I may have left out due to dyslexia. It is a longer story, probably in the area of 20 000 words, though this is the vaguest of estimates. Otherwise, an eye for flow and consistency would be a plus. I'm currently writing my first slightly longer House-fic. It will be House/Wilson slash, taking off after "Don't Ever Change". At the moment, it's 7001 words long, rated PG-13 for language, and it'll be a bit longer before it's finished. There's some Wilson/Amber too, because the plot of the story is that CTB gets pregnant.

I need someone to check their personalities mostly :) Grammar and spelling too, of course, 'cause that's always needed, but mostly IC-check and story suggestions. I don't mind harsh betaing ^^ I want to put a good story out there.

I also have two short one-shots that would need betaing, both House/Wilson, so if you're interested in something shorter... but mostly the longer fic described above.

Ever since I read the essay about the theory of there being two Wilsons in the universe of House MD – one real, the other one a figment of House’s imagination – back in December/January, I’ve been little by little planning on a fanfiction concerning that subject. A while ago I finally pulled myself together and started writing on it, but I didn’t get any further than a small bit of the beginning before I realized there was no way I am going to be able to pull this off alone.
So, now I’m asking for help. I need an alpha that is serious about writing and good at constructive criticism. I also need to bounce ideas back and forth, and I would appreciate pretty quick answers to the e-mails (i.e. less than a week’s wait). The story in question will surely be longer than 10,000 words, and it wouldn't surprise me if it became longer than 20,000.

Hey folks.

I am stuck - seriously damn stuck - on a sex scene. I've been doing nothing but changing the same words around for about two days now. Mostly, I feel like I'm treading old ground here, and I'm just plain out of ideas. It reads like a generic, blue-label slash scene right now. So I'm basically looking for someone to take a quick read-through and maybe breathe a little new life into things.

Some background:
This is for get_house_laid, it will eventually be H/W, H/Cuddy, and H/W/C. The scene in question is just H/W and is NC-17, and involves House being slightly submissive to Wilson. There are some bits that haven't been written in yet because they feel so trite to me right now.
